There's something about Mary
What Up......my pathetic attempt at hanging on to my youth.  The same reason I run marathons and I'm looking for the perfect sketch of art to tattoo my lower back.

I graduated from Shawn Cassidy to The Doors when my music taste changed.  I will always love and, still, can never hear enough Led Zeppelin.  I loved Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath and Cream until Journey and Van Halen took over.  Then Stevie Ray Vaughan won over my heart when I saw him perform with Gregg Allman and The Charlie Daniels Band in the early '80's.

Today My I-pod has a mix of classic rock and new rock.  The louder and faster, the better.

I also love mountain biking, running marathons, sprint triathalons, nascar and growing cucumbers.

Tony Stewart, Washington Redskins/Patriots. Bruins. Baseball (plead the 5th).

Saturday...all '70's, great music.

Nascar Sprint Cup racing, just week 2 and already probations and drivers docked points, just let 'em race.

The cold weather and icy sidewalks have kind of detoured me from starting training for marathon number 5.  I've been continuously working out at Body Resolution, twice a week, power legs, but cardiovasularly I haven't done much.  I'm still contemplating the marathon.  But, this is it.  If I don't start this weekend, it's over and I'll set my sights on a fall marathon.

Thursday Morning at Sugarbush with the Today Show.  I felt like a rock star on Thursday morning while at Sugarbush.  Credentials gave me a chance to get behind the cameras of the Today Show.  For me, that was like a Patriot fan hanging out on the sidelines of a game.  For years I've always been a big fan of  the Today show, now with Matt Lauer and Meredith Viera.  Big fan of Ann Curry.  And, yes gentlemen, she is as beautiful in person as on TV.  She's also as sweet and warm in person as she appears on the Today Show.

Matt and Meredith were very personable.  Not once did they act like they were any better then any of us.  They never shrugged off their fans, always had a smile and were willing to talk to all their fans standing behind them with signs.  Thats great TV personalities!  I will always be a fan of the Today Show, even if I have wait to start watching morning television uttil 7am.

However, I didn't get any news that morning, I was too busy watching all the caios behind the scenes.... From what I understand, they gave Vermont alot of love! That rocks!

Words to live by
Wednesday 01-02-2008 2:39pm ET
I found an article about a guy who works at a fast food restaurant and lives on food stamps for low income workers.  He found a check inside an envelope on the ground for $185,000.  Without thinking twice, he returned the check to the person it belongs.  He got a $50 thank you.  Why he did it:

He grew up hearing these words:  If you take something, you lose three times that amount- and if you do something good, something good comes back to you.

I gave back a $1 bill I found at the gas station during the holidays....hmmm it's a start.
